After living in N.J. for 42 years, we retired and moved to Rose Lodge Oregon. We wanted to start a small business just to keep busy. We built a greenhouse, the Salmon River Greenhouse, just to grow and sell a few plants and a basket or two. That worked for the first 2 years. Then we found succulents, WOW! Now we understand, “PASSION”. The Salmon River Greenhouse, is, and will remain a small operation, a family operated nursery. Our daughter Kim, her husbandJT, my wife Judy, and yours truly, Richard, own and operate the greenhouse. The greenhouse sits on 6.5 acres, with 2 houses and 2 barns. 4 rescue dogs and 2 horses. Elk herds come down and graze on our pastures with the horses. Being from Oregon as a small boy, I always dreamed of living somewhere in the mountains of Oregon at the end of a dirt road, well, now I do.
